Carbide motion says jobs will take 2x as long?

Whenever I load a file into carbide motion, it says it will take twice as long as it does in carbide create. For example, a 2.5 hour surfacing job turns into 5+ hours when it is loaded into carbide motion.
I also notice when doing other jobs (that were also doubled in length when loaded into the software) that that the router is not taking the most efficient cuts.

Why is there this difference in job run time between the two softwares? How can I reduce the length of a job in carbide motion?

If you use a timer it takes even longer. I do not think the time calculates retracts and bit changes. So the only way to speed it up is depth of cut and step over. However that can lead to poor results. There is no magic bullet. The stock f&s are conservative. You can increase the feed rate 10 percent at a time in cm.
