In the development version we’ve already removed the job “done” button and added a basic time estimate.
We have also added some code for a new accessory that should be pretty good too. Hope to get that out in the next month or so.

Dwelling on my thoughts more, I’d love to reduce the number of popups in CM to allow me to rerun identical jobs again and again without having to be reminded to do the same thing over and over again.
Perhaps this could be accomplished by making a beginner and advanced setting that allows one to not have to be reminded to put the tool in when it’s the same tool I just ran.
Another thing is the ability to use non-Carbide3D touch probes. I made my own probe that is slimmer and allows me to use it on thin stock and also when the parts are very high and I don’t have much clearance. I know Carbide3D sells a great probe and I just want to make it so I could fully switch to CM instead of using UGS or CNCjs.
Edit: Thinking more on it, what I realize is so important about being able to adjust probing offsets is that on aluminum parts (1/3rd of my CNC projects) I probe directly off the aluminum part such that my offsets are zero. Not being able to do this makes CM hard to work directly from.
set zero options on the MDI screen would be fantastic. So we don’t have to go back and forth while setting zero the old fashioned way.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback. We’re making some big changes to CM based on this thread that should be available in the next month or so.
The changes ended up being more invasive than we expected so it’ll take some time to test all the edge cases and get the new code working.
The first release should streamline the UI and add a couple of features mentioned here. I think it’ll be a win for everyone.
I’m going to lock this thread for now and then start a new one when we have a new build that we can publicly share.
Thanks again for the help.
