Carve a photo into wood

This is harder than I think it should be!
A. I tried with CC, importing a background image (attached) in the model tab but although it looks right (attached), it is unclear how to actually carve it.
B. I tried Halftone Generator but it is stuck on Loading
C. I tried https://rastercarve.live/ and it uses diagonal lines which is not thej look I want
I would like to use CC if possible

Halftone generator on Cutrocket

This was announced/demoed in a limited way a while back — had occasion to reference it in a support ticket recently, so here’s the text from that: We have a halftone generator which will accept black and white images, so you will need to convert any image into a black and white picture.
