What bit is recommended to carve a cow and letters, I was told a ball end bit works best, but carbide create won’t let me use a ball end, however if I go to the jenny toolbase and select their ball end bit it allows it
The Jenny tapered ball mills are entered as a V-bit. I think this is dangerous as they will not cut as expected.
You can’t cut a V-carve with a ball mill. i.e. The software won’t let you select a ball mill.
You can do it, but you have use an offset of the ball radius and make sure your geometry has no corners sharper than the ball radius.
I think a single flute O-flute bit works best on plastics. Slow RPM & fast feedrate to avoid melting.
If you show the geometry and describe how you want to cut it, we can help you find the best solution.
