CC 743 Freezing

Has anyone else experienced multiple “freeze ups” of the CC? I am able to put in the work dimensions, then if i try to make a circle, a square or anything other than the dimensions the program freezes. I have uninstalled and re-installed it without it being fixed. Only way to unfreeze is to close out of the program re-open it and the same thing happens. I have all other programs on the laptop paused or stopped so there isn’t any interference. Laptop is new (5 months) and it has worked on previous versions of 743, just for some reason it won’t work now.
Any suggestions?

Check and see if the computer is downloading updates?

No it isn’t, it’s all up to date. I restarted several times, gave it three days started up and same problem.

What do you have your background grid set to?

Could you post a file and step-by-step instructions for causing a freeze?

Thank you for the help. Background grid is set to 1", I’ve been on that setting for a couple of years now.
Step by Step option 1 & 2:

  1. Open CC, file, open, open a previous file I worked on. Basic circle on a 14" x 14" piece of stock. I click on the circle to adjust, and it freezes. I’ve let it sit until it unfreezes which it never does, causing me to have to exit out of CC, it asks me is I want to discard or save, i have clicked both before. it closes CC.
  2. Open CC, click on job set up, I click on shape, open it to size, no matter the shape the program freezes. I have to use the same CC exit procedures listed above.

Please try making a new user account w/ admin privileges, then install the program in that new account — if that account has the same problem, let us know at suppor@carbide3d.com and we’ll try to look into this w/ you.

I just downloaded the 14-day pro, and that worked. By deleting my carbide 3d account, will i lose all of my information WRT my purchases, business info etc? If I still should delete the account, how and where do I do that? I dont see an option under my profile settings

I meant a new user account on your Windows or Mac OS computer.

I did not suggest deleting anything.

Yes, i have had the same problem for about 2 months. No option but to exit, not predictable when freeze will happen. Have been saving after every operation to avoid re-work. I will try creating new user account as @WillAdams mentioned.
