I’d like to see layers represented as tabs along the bottom of the workspace, similar to MS Excel. First tab includes all layers with subsequent tabs allowing custom labels.
For me, it would make it easier to identify and switch quickly between layers, select/assign elements to layers and better visualize projects with many elements that may overlap.
I*m sure adding tabs is not an easy lift and the juice may not be worth the squeeze compared to other enhancements in queue, but just putting this one out there.
