Changes to Z axis after upgrade to Motion 566

I just upgraded Create and Motion so I could take advantage of the curved letter function. Now when I set my zero and hit start the z axis goes to my zero point and then drags across the workpiece to the initial cut point. This never happened before. What am I missing?

TIA

What do you have the Safety/retract height set to in Carbide Create?

Where are you setting the origin in Carbide Create?

Where are you setting zero to relative to the stock in Carbide Motion?

If nothing is obviously wrong, please post your .c2d file, step-by-step notes on how you are securing your stock and setting zero relative to it and managing all changes and a photo showing an attempt at cutting still in place on the machine.

The retract is set to .10. The origin is center of the stock on the design and I zero xyz to that point manually in motion. I zero the z at the top of the stock and raise up manually before starting. Now once I hit start instead of traveling to the first point of contact it drops down to my zero and then drags. I have done this a hundred times before the upgrade. I even went back to the previous versions of create and motion and its still doing the same thing.

Since you just upgraded CC and CM, did you resend the config?
