I used advanced V carve with a 302 (60 degree) at 1.5 mm depth. It left an inconsistent island in some of the lettering.
Is there an easy cleanup? Going deeper ? Running again with the 301?
Figured I would ask before ruining the piece. Thanks.

Did you enable pocket clearing? How does this compare to the 3D preview?
Upload your file?
I did not! That was the issue. Thank you.
Edit - the simulation indicates the result I was looking for.
Just for clarification: The inconsistency was due to the design and carve method I took.
Adding the pocketing is the ticket.
Looks like you have the solution from @WillAdams, but wanted to offer an additional suggestion.
You may want to consider a finishing pass as well; second pass at your final depth and possibly with reduced stepover on both tools.
It’s not entirely intuitive that enabling the clearing enables both the clearing tool / endmill, and also the v-bit for areas where the endmill won’t fit. With it disabled the V-bit only makes a profile at the depth you set.
This is a great community. I certainly appreciate all the suggestions and support. I feel like I am learning more and more on every project.
