Cleaning the edges of a pocket

I am making some small desk top flags for some fellow vets, the 1/8 is will clear the material fine for the white stripes. How can I, if possible, have a 1/16 bit go along the outside to give them a better appearance with sharper corners.

Thanks,
John

This is known as “Rest” machining and is a feature in Carbide Create Pro.

If you don’t have Rest Maching, you can do it manually.

Copy the Vector, then center it onto the original. Draw a Circle .125 Diamete.r
Select the Circle’s center node and Align It with the Corner.

Next, Select the Circle and the Square Vectors. Circle First. Now do a Boolean subtraction.

Repeat for all Corners.

Next, go to toolpaths. Select the inner and outer Vectors, do a pocket toolpath with the .0625 tool, and your desired DOC.

Whammo.

Here’s the toolpaths with .125 for the main clearing and .0625 for the corners.

I am an Idiot.

I just “refound” the reverse fillet function.
