I have developed a clicking noise in raising the HDZ axis. The sound does not occur with lowering; only raising. Any ideas before I have to take this apart and start exploring?
I will do that. I have the CNC about 3 months with limited use; but that is really no excuse as an owner. I’ve ordered the recommend oil so it will be a week before I can apply this. Why would it click in only one direction (as it relates to lubrication)?
Typically what you are hearing is the ballbearings moving in the ball nut. It’s nothing to worry about but as @WillAdams states it’s worth lubricating the axis.
