I get that the Time Remaining field is an estimate, but there are HUGE miscalculations here that weren’t in previous versions. I’m running a job for over 1.5 hours, and at the start, it calculated 2 minutes. When I got to 60%, it said 5 minutes. Now that I’m at 87%, it says 7 minutes. In reality, there are probably 20 minutes to go.
Also, I noticed that it NEVER adjusted this time estimate when overriding the feed rate. It seems like that should be a pretty easy calculation to manage. Just divide by the feedrate (i.e. 150%) and update the field that displays the time.
Can you please add these bugs to the list for the next release?
Until the job actually starts cutting the time remaining being dislayed is from the previous job run.
The job length estimates have been off since forever. The estimates in cc have gotten better and the time remaining in cm has gotten better but they will never be perfect. There are variables that cannot be accounted for like the user ability to speed up and/or slow down feed rate. I think the times are based on cutting time and do not include rapids or user pauses. Plus the time to change a bit with multiple tool change job varies.
