Posted about this back in July with no response so it seems to be a rare/isolated issue. After updating and configuring the VFD CM no longer reports the status/progress of the job. Have tried CM 635, 636, and now 640 and multiple job files with the same result. Remains line 0 of XXXX and 0%.
Only one other similar post from 2017, poster submitted job files and then the thread was closed.
I believe C3D stopped with the progress some time ago. The only update I get is which toolpath it is cutting.
Curious, are you using Carbide Create to generate the file going to CM?
@gdon_2003 It was working before getting the VFD working. Would at least show line # of XXXX.
@Ed.E Yup, always use CC latest version.
Update: uninstalled CM, rebooted, reinstalled fresh. Problem persists. Ran a program with $C enabled and CM updates progress as expected. Disabled $C, problem returns. Ran with VFD powered off same result.
Seems to be an issue when actually moving the machine, whatever feedback CM is expecting is being lost.
