Every so often (one in four times?), when loading a workfile, CM will think a bit longer, then lose connection to the machine, and then show the file preview. Is this a bug of CM? My setup only ever loses connection to the machine during file load. So I doubt it could be static buildup or random issues like that.
Which sort of computer are you using?
Is it a USB2 or USB3 connection?
How large are the files? Could you upload one which has caused this disconnection?
Windows 10 laptop with USB2 connection. File size is not an issue, it’s with any file, and it’s random.

Is the file loaded onto the main drive or also on a USB device?
have not tried a different computer. File is on a network drive. It always happens while the File Load % is around 90 percent (haven’t paid attention to the exact number). I will pay attention from now on.
Please try copying the file to the local disk before loading into Carbide Motion.
