Bought a XXL from a friend, he never setup or used the BitZero. I followed the online instructions for installing - machine has a circuit board version 2.4e so I plugged it in to the port marked RESERVED.
My confusion lies in where to install the ground probe ring lug. The instructions show putting it under a screw near the USB port - my machine doesn’t seem to have said screw. That part of the online instructions appears to be for the low profile enclosure.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Use any connection to ground — a corner of the enclosure should be fine.
Thank you Will, I figured that out shortly after I posted. My other question is how to run the probe cycle. I am running build 542.
He gave me the original BitZero with the machine, but the probe cycle seems to be wanting BitZero version 2. When I try to run the probe cycle it wants me to position the mill within the BitZero bore (doesn’t exist) and then the probe cycle fails.
