Connecting a game controller

Hi all, im trying to connect a game controller for jogging and not having any luck. Ive got a usb/dongle controller and a ps4 controller. I cant get either to connect to carbide motion. I went to settings and assume i have to allow remote access which ive tried without success. Ive restarted carbide motion and my laptop. Any guidance would be appreciated

Additional configuration is needed to use a game controller for jogging. This video might help.

Thanks for the link. I did the antimicro, the controller highlights the buttons being pushed, but i have no cnc control lol just my luck

I wrote up a bit on this at:

Using a Game Controller with CM513 and later

that said, keyboard mapping should not be necessary w/ a “real” game controller, though it is required for a “game pad”:

A different sort of pendant

that said, the default shortcuts should allow a numeric keypad to “just work”:

Keyboard Shortcut Cheat sheet for Carbide Create and Motion

that said, I find a custom keyboard a bit more tractable (no need to load a separate program):

Techkeys NineKeyBoard CNC Edition

that said, if one reads the Carbide Motion download notes closely:

Build 641
New Add initial jog pendant code.

and note:

This has now shipped:
