Hi all, im trying to connect a game controller for jogging and not having any luck. Ive got a usb/dongle controller and a ps4 controller. I cant get either to connect to carbide motion. I went to settings and assume i have to allow remote access which ive tried without success. Ive restarted carbide motion and my laptop. Any guidance would be appreciated
Additional configuration is needed to use a game controller for jogging. This video might help.

I wrote up a bit on this at:
Unfortunately, my son left his at college, so I haven’t been able to test this until now (picked up one while doing a run for essentials since it caught my eye):
Picked up a:

I find the game controller and numeric keypad layouts a bit confusing (also, my son lay claim to the second Logitech F310 since he left his at college), and while I love the click on my wonderful 6 Key Keyboard (Techkeys SixKeyBoard CNC Edition ) I find I need to change the jog rate often enough when using my Shapeoko that it has been consigned to the far corner of the basement for use with my Nomad (and I am anxiously awaiting the 3x3 version).
Until that time, I’ve been looking for an alternat…
that said, the default shortcuts should allow a numeric keypad to “just work”:
that said, I find a custom keyboard a bit more tractable (no need to load a separate program):
Some of you may have remembered back in April I posted about the SixKeyBoard Pendant I created back in April. Today, I am excited to launch the NineKeyBoard Pendant now with speed control capability. If you have never typed on a mechanical keyboard, dump your keyboard and get one right now - it is life changing. So this hobby led me d…
that said, if one reads the Carbide Motion download notes closely:
Build 641
New Add initial jog pendant code.
and note:
We’ve got a jog pendant that should be shipping soonish (we’re getting the first production order of PCBs underway right now). That’s going to be our preferred way to handle jogging beyond the basics.
