Hi Folks, I just recently had some problems with static discharge on my Shapeoko XXL. I was cutting MDF and it would shut down in the middle of a project. I notices some of the dust was collecting on the hose of the vacuum. I also discovered that the control board wasn’t grounded. You would think that because it is mounted to the side of the machine it would be grounded but the paint on the control box prevents it from making contact. To make a long story short, I burnished one of the mounting holes on the control board and ran a wire from that to the Y gantry. The control box itself is already grounded through the power source as I discovered using a meter. I’ve done a couple of projects since and no issues. Just thought I would put that out
