I am trying to move my file from CC to run it on USG, USG needs .nc or G-file and my CC file is .c2d, is there a conversion in CC? and yes, I paid for the pro version…
For CC Pro, under Toolpaths, “Save Toolpaths”, then select “Save as GCode”. You can add whatever extension you like, it all text files.
Without CC Pro, you can save GCode from Carbide Motion.
The above posts are telling you you cannot directly save a c2d file to .nc .tap or gcode. If you do not have the pro version in v7 Carbide Create you cannot save gcode separately.
If you need gcode files then you can download v6 Carbide Create and save your gcode out as .nc or .tap (they are the same file just a different extension). Not sure a v7 CC file will work in v6 CC but you could try. Otherwise you will need to recreate your project in v6 CC. I have not done this but maybe you can save v7 CC as a v6 file? Open the file menu and see if you have “Save as v6” I have the pro version so not sure what the free version has available.
I have CC Pro and I created a file in v7 764 CC. I created a simple rectangle and a pocket that was .1" deep. I saved the file in v6 format and the file opened in v6 but the tool path was empty. So I created the tool path again and saved the gcode. Your mileage may vary.
I was able to get it moved, nice of CC to have the “button” for it, when I checked on line, it was a bunch of people complaining that CC deleted that option… I realized it was for the free version.
