Hey everyone! I am looking for a little help. I recently created a file and saved it as a G-Code only instead of backing it up as a .c2d as well. Most of the time I wouldn’t care about this except I missed a crucial tool path that I need. I am under the impression that a G-Code can be reversed back to a .c2d file. Does anyone here have experience with this? If so how can I do this?
The opensource tool pstoedit is supposed to have a module for this.
A bit more accessible is Scorchwork’s G-Code Ripper listed at:
and available from:
http://www.scorchworks.com/Gcoderipper/gcoderipper.html
which I believe may be able to do this as well — it’ll make a DXF which you can then import back into Carbide Create.
