Incase other people havn’t leveraged this functionality, I love this tool. I open a new file and paste in an image.
However my workflows tend to only use the first two options. I’m curious if people have used the third “Import as 3D component” button and if they have an example of what they’ve pasted/created with it.
And just when you think you know the software… How are you getting to that dialog box?
have an image in your clipboard. start carbide create (I have pro if it matters, I’m not sure)

Must be a Pro piece. I do not have Pro and it does not show up for me.
It would make sense that it would be a pro feature, since modeling (3D import) is a pro feature. No point in importing a model if you can’t model.
with Pro, it does come up - and - if you have a region selected, it does import the model into that space if you make that selection.
I’m not sure how I would handle that sequence…selecting the model first and then going back and importing it…it makes much more sense to import the model into the space you’ve created, using the regular import model command.
I do have CC Pro. In the beta version 855 and 853 I get a jpg icon image.

It should be in every version of create, and it should also work if you drag an image into the drawing area.
