Hello, I am trying to learn to cut cabinet body parts of my shapeoko 4 x 4 table. It has a spindle and it’s the pro model.
I have been using a program called E cabinets for quite some time and I believe there is a way to use the files. I create on E cabinets to cut parts on my shapeoko.
I know that the program creates G code because for sure it cuts on thermwood and shop fox machines. Can anyone help with how I go about doing this?
So long as you output G-code which matches what is supported by Carbide Motion:
then it should work as expected.
Typically you need a “post processor” for it. I would reach out to E Cabinets, and see what that requires. They may be able to modify the file for fusion 360. They are normally a text file of some sort.

It seems they have blocked that type of use of the program because they give the program away for free. I’m having trouble finding any programs that can do this job with shapeoko other than mosaic, which is like 200 and something a month

Or, if you could define the inputs and outputs you want, maybe we can work up something else?
Can you share one of the G-code output files? It’s quite likely it will work on your Shapeoko as is, or with minimal modification.

I’m a bit above my head here, I think the file that is exported is not g code but some read only file and the code is not accessible as far as I can tell. Could I post a file so someone may look at it for me?
Yes, zip it up and upload here and if possible, a screen grab showing the file/settings for it.
