Hi. Upgraded to build 853. The canvas area starts white, but as soon as I add anything, it changes to this dark gray color and never changes back.
Second matter is that I used to own the paid version. It has since expired. The pop up reminding me show every time I start the software without a way to permanently acknowledge.
You would need to remove the license file. Open CC and go to Help menu then About. Open Data Directory. Then open CC. You will see the license file and move it, delete it or rename it. Restart CC and it should quit nagging you. As long as the license file is there and expired it will prompt you.
Please check your video drivers and if possible, update them.
If you can’t update video drivers, or if it doesn’t work, go to the Start Menu, type “sysinfo”, run the System Information tool, save the output using your last and first name, then save that as a .txt file and send it to support@carbide3d.com along with a clear screen grab showing this problem in Carbide Create and specifically note that you can see the grid lines separate from the grey and that changing the size of the grid does not alter this.
Light and Dark mode seem to have nothing to do with it. The drivers are up to date and this is happening two different computers, both up to date and running Win11.
I can reproduce it by loading a .c2d file, click File>New, (it starts white), move the mouse over the canvas area or force any refresh (zoom), turns grey. Grid size change has no effect. I will send logs and the file.
