Default Cut depth in build 838

Since I am thinking about getting one of the El Ocho #213 roughing bits, I figured I would take a look at how much time it would save on my projects.
When I looked at the 213 in the 838 build (I did the update right before the semester and got busy with teaching so I hadn’t really designed anything withit)
It has the Shapeoko-Hardwood values at cut depth of 0.750 mm which is about 30 thousandths in obsolete units. I know the parameters are conservative on CC but that seems a bit too far.
Shapeoko-Softwood has the cut depth at 1.50 mm.
The parameters seem to be indentical for the 211 regular square end mill.
I thought the advantage of the 213 is you could go faster and deeper to save time. Am I missing something or is there an error in the database?

That seems like an error. @wmoy can confirm.

You really can’t take the parameters in the tool database as anything but a starting point. You can create your own copy of the tools from one of the grouped sets & edit/add to those with your own settings.

Definitely a possible goof on my part, we can take a look at updating that value in the next release. That being said, the speeds and feeds in Create are merely suggested guidelines and are pretty conservative by design. Depending on your machine, there can be significant headroom in pushing speeds faster. So don’t take it as: “It will only ever be X% faster”. El Ocho is a really sturdy endmill, and the roughing bit in particular can really chew through a ton of material.
