The “Convert to Curves” button in the Create Text Dialog screen closes the Create Text dialog. However, it does not act the same as the “Done” button in that changes made to the Text in the text box are not reflected when the dialog closes. It does seem to respect the italics checkbox and the bold checkbox, but not the text itself.
Example 1: How the Done button works
Enter New Text in the text box
Press “Done”
This is expected behavior.
Now Enter New Text in the text box, but press “Convert to Curves”
The words “New Text” are not captured…and the dialog closes.
Last example: Enter New Text and click BOLD and ITALIC - and press the Convert to Curves button
Notice that the Bold and Italic checkboxes ARE reflected, but the New Text is still ignored
Either the Convert to Curves button should be a checkbox (like Group letter vectors) and not close the dialog - or the Convert to Curves button should also make the change for the text as Done does.
