DEFECT (Back at least to 777 - including up to 807) Rendering issue with slight curve

Small problem:

This is the design:
image
The toolpath is going to hollow out the space between the two slightly-curved lines (it’s a curved dado in the end grain of a table leg to wrap around a curved apron).

This cuts beautifully.

But the simulation renders jaggedly:

Any idea why?

If you reduce the stock size, then you will get a better preview:

Yes…I noticed that too…but why? My original design had this a part of it…and took up a lot of that other space

Theres a limit on the number of triangles that we generate for rendering to keep the video drivers from crashing. So the bigger the stock, the bigger the triangles (and less detail).

Each year we bump up the triangle count, figuring the average computer has gotten better.

Got it. Thanks. You guys know all the angles

No thats’ triangles. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Is it like a danger to a machine if you were to give us a lil slider in a menu somewhere to use our higher end machines where the default would be the minimum (current) value?
