[DEFECT: BETA 6.11] Offset does not have midpoint handle

If you create an offset (I used a square), on 5.24, the Midpoint node handle is available on mouseover of the created object:

However on 6.11, the Midpoint node handle is no longer available. Only the Node and Grid handles will pop up on the corners.

I assume this is due to processing them as paths rather than objects? Is it possible to get the handles back?
