Doing some maintenance...need some input

I need to replace a couple wheels, looking to upgrade while I’m at it if it makes sense. I’ve found delrin v-wheels, polycarbonate, and aluminum. Is there any actual benefit to the polycarbonate or aluminum v-wheels? Any downside?

Not as far as I can tell.

Aluminum V wheels will actually damage the rails, and polycarbonate seem to crack more (I thought they’d been discontinued by the folks who had created them).

Delrin is an amazing material for all that it was created to replace the quills used in harpsichords, and its material properties are pretty much perfect for our needs — having to replace them every so often is an amortization which helps to keep the machine entry price low.
