Don't get excited, CM on my Ipad

This is a screen shot from my Ipad. This is the ridiculously expensive way to get Carbide Motion to run on an Ipad. I have a Windows 10 gaming Handheld PC with a 7 inch display. I have a dock for it that also has a USB hub. During Amazon Prime day I bought a “Luna Display” on sale. This is a software package to use your Ipad as a second screen over Wifi or a cable, it uses a USB C Dongle. It works with both the Mac and Windows. I find that the small display doesn’t cut it for me when using some apps like Carbide Motion. The Luna Display lets me extend my use of the Handheld PC. First up , touch screen for jogging sucks, this is no surprise because it is not sending a repeated command over remote screen session casting, it has more to do with how the Ipad works than anything else. Jogging with my Apple Keyboard works superbly. Your mileage may very. As I use Wifi, if you were to place it where you have bad WiFi you will have bad results. This set up is just shy of $4k so I wouldn’t do it if I didn’t already have 98% of it paid for. It was the ~$90 (while on sale) addition that made it possible. While it works, I would only recommend it if you already have most of the equipment in this recipe. For me Luna Display (USB C model ) is a fast and easy way to remotely see and control my PC. Note* the advantage of this product is it requires no logins to make the connections.

Can you further explain what brand/model/type of equipment you are referring to? The font’s letters are so easy to mix up.

Your screenshot looks like any Windows PC to me.

He’s running CM on a Windows PC and using the iPad as an external display for that Windows PC.

You can run CM on an Raspberry PI and VNC into it on your IPad for a like effect. Though Raspberry PIs are not as cheap as they once were (chip shortage?) this would still be cheaper than an full on desktop.

Also there are raspberry pi setups where a touchscreen is included.

As said, Raspberry Pi are hard-ish to find and not cheap (supply chain … ). You can find a mini PC on Amazon for around $150 ( I use this to run CM next to my Shapeoko Pro : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B082VVCFNG/ ), which makes the iPad as a screen an expensive screen  (I use a small touch screen on mine : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B082HWF2HW/ ).
But cool proof of concept.
