Downloading files from purchased sites

I have puchased cnc plans from a site and the file comes in at wrong scale. I know this has to be something I am doing wrong and I have searched the forum for threads dealing with this and found none. Can someone tell me what I need to do to move forward? Thanks in advance.

Without seeing file its tough to say. But when that happens to me i open the file in almost any other program that can read it but CC(inkscape as example), save file at 100% scale then open it in CC make sure CC is in scale of original (metric or imperial). always works for me.

Carbide Create assumes the 96ppi which Inkscape uses.

If an SVG file was created in Adobe Illustrator it needs to be exported as an SVG and the “Responsive” checkbox checked.

If an SVG file was created in Serif’s Affinity Designer it needs to be exported as an SVG and the PPI set to 96.

DXF dimensions depend on the tool used to make them — I usually open them in LibreCAD and re-save as an SVG.
