Drill holes sets

hello, i wonder if someone could have a look at this please.
I am trying to drill a series of holes too insert some crochet tools in a display board, they go up in sizes and i am trying to drill an accurate hole for each one.
I have a 1/4" end mill and the smallest is around 5mm and the largest around 10mm.
I have set the circle as half the width for the radius and used a pocket hole toolpath but it keeps on coming out to wide, am i going wrong with the offset?

First off, a 1/4" mill is 6.35mm You can’t make a hole smaller than that.

Secondly, you say you have a 1/4" mill, but your pockets toolpaths are using a 1/8" mill.

Hello Michael.
Sorry, i meant 1/8" is what i am using

What material are you cutting?

Why are you using a #102 DEFAULT tool?

You are cutting to a depth of almost 3 times the diameter of the tool? Where possible avoid slotting and add geometry and cut as a pocket

and/or

and consider leaving a roughing clearance and taking a finishing pass.

Hello Will.
I am only intending to cut these as a hole so the tools can stand up in them, i reckon around 8mm deep into 18mm timber would be ok.
The cutter i am using is the 1/8" one which has a diameter of 4.7mm ish.
The first hole i am trying to cut is around 5mm, so a bit bigger i thought would be ok with the 1/8" end mill.
I do another one for some items we make where the hole needs to be 12mm, i set this as a pocket with a raduis of 6mm, again to a depth of 8mm and it does this fine so i just transfered the diameter of the hole for this job in the same way

A 1/8" tool should have a diameter of 3.175mm

You need to enter the settings for your tool accurately (and be careful when measuring to not damage the flutes):

then, you need to use feeds and speeds suited for the tool and material combination:

and toolpaths:

1/8" = 3.175mm

I would use a hole milling strategy.
Set the depth of cut on the tool to something large, I used 1"
Set the plunge feedrate the same as the cut feedrate
Use a contour, Inside, Climb cut toolpath, with ramping at about 3°
For the holes that are larger than 2x the tool, add an additional pilot hole in the center & cut those first.

The path will spiral / helical into the hole & make a flat pass at the bottom.
