Hi VERY NEW Carbide Create user here. I have a problem where I create a design using layers, create toolpath by layers - observe total operation time.
Next I chose to duplicate the part and features, doesn’t matter if I make 1 or 12 copies, all the copies hit the default layer. I have tried various options in the duplicate box options with no success.
I found some other posts but nothing specific to this problem.
Are you wanting the duplicate layer created in the same layer or a layer all its own?
All your duplicates will end up in the “active” layer. So if you want your dupes to end up in layer ‘x’, first make it active and then duplicate your parts.
I want them to be in their own layers so the toolpath follows through. I could as @GJM suggests, however duplicating 3 layers and then aligning the features from each layer may be a pain in the ass. I’ll play around, perhaps I’ll submit a RFE (request for enhancement).
