Here’s my issue, I’ve designed some knife handles in carbide create pro. When I was working on the prototypes, I simply set the job up to cut out one set at a time. Now that I have a working design is there any way to copy and paste my original design, or do I have to remake each 3d component individually?
What you can do is export the 3D model as a pixel image, then re-import that pixel image.
Let us know at projects@carbide3d.com if you have difficulty doing this.
How do you make sure it’s a 1:1 scale, every time I try that it’s out of scale.
I was trying to copy paste some 2D geometry from one open CC window to another and was bummed to see that didn’t work.
Then I discovered I could import one C2D file into another. It brought in all the geometry of the imported file but I could then delete the unneeded portions.
Not sure if that would work the same for 3D but worth a shot.
Import it into a rectangle which is the size of the original stock area.
That won’t work for 3D because it’s not possible to relocate a 3D model.
Relocating a 3d model would be amazing! Any possibility of this being available in the future?
