Enclosure WIP Photos

Thought I’d share some progress on the enclosure I’m building for my SO5. Will do a full write-up once it’s done but honestly that may be some time given my current rate of progress!

Main considerations for me are noise and dust, and I’ve made the side and back panels removable for maintenance. I’ve not done the roof yet and need to think about vacuum, air flow, wiring and controller setup, very much open to suggestions!

Tack some RockWool Comfortboard inside on the panels & maybe use it for the top cover of your enclosure. I recently had my PROXXL setup in a basement & made a quick table & enclosure frame. I just used Comfortboard as panels for the enclosure. It did a really good job of dampening the sound during operation - better than the lumber/OSB panel enclosure I had made previously.

Thanks for the tip - I was wondering if something like that would be needed. It really helps to see the pictures of your setup too, thanks for sharing

I think I’m going to get the doors and roof on first, give it a test and then can proceed with some RockWool (or similar as I’m in the UK) if it’s still noisy.
