End grain Cutting board

First time making an end grain cutting board. Walnut and maple, approximately 12” x 18” x 1 1/8 thick. Used CNC to surface it, route the juice groove and the handles. Enjoyed the process, even the sanding wasn’t that bad. :joy:

Really nice, @Maverick54 . For some reason the thought “Minecraft backgammon board” popped into my head when I saw your photos… :wink:

@randy Thanks Randy, it is funny how different things can look to different people. My initial impression when I first put the finish on it was that it looked like the laces of a football.

Wow. That turned out amazing.

I also use a similar-style handle.

@SDGuy Thanks Anthony

Nice job very impressive must have taken awhile to make.

Thank you. I didn’t track it closely but it took a few hours a day over about 4 days. I let each glue-up sit overnight.

Aside from the handles and juice groove, did you use the CNC for any machining?

@GJM, I also used the CNC to surface both sides.
