Thanks for replying to “adding more line colors and object filling.” Hope you can work it out.
I have been thinking about another enhancement that would really make my Carbide
usage better. In designing guitars, there are many items that need cut on their own.
For example: the bridge, headstock, pickguard, sound hole and a few more smaller pieces.
What I have to do now is create a new page then copy the item to the new page so the item
can be centered for gcode saving, and save it as a different file name. Changes to that item requires saving and then copying to the main design. What I end up with is a main directory,
then the main design file within it, and then many other files for each of the parts that belong
to that design. Many times the list out numbers the recents file qty so I have to go search
and open the files.
I was wondering if it is possible to have something similar to speadsheet tabs that could be
part of the main file, yet when the main file is saved, contain their own separate information. It
would make accessing and manipulating individual pieces of a design much more streamlined.
Tabs would also show you what parts have been or need to be created. To be able to click on a
tab, modify the design and then copy it back to the main to test would be huge. When satisfied,
all that is left is to go to the tab and generate tool paths and save the gcode or send it if you’re
using carbide for cutting.
I am interested to hear your thoughts on this as well as other users opinions/ideas.
The design below would require a minimum of 9 tabs.
