Greetings all, dont judge me,im old,and im new at this.
And im not cheap,im fruggle.
I have seen a few suggestions on topic of static electricity, all good imo.
But have ya tried fabric dryer sheets??
I know,i know,but it works.
I have one wrapped around hose end connecting cottection to sweepy, then on the other end connecting hose to collection system, and i even wraped on power cords.
again,i know,I should be ashamed.
but its old school, its a cheap solution that works, and my shop smells like a nun fart when the machine is running.
WINNING!
hope this helps the garage warriors, and that they are having as much fun as i am!
I use them to clean my plexiglass, and I can wipe one side & the particles fall off the other side. I was skeptical at first, but it really works well.
Another use for dryer sheets is to put them under the seats of your car. In the winter when you get in with wet feet the dryer sheets help keep down the musty smell that can be caused by the moisture on the mats. Even in the summer it helps if you get any funky odors caused by your eating and leaving things in the car that would stink it up. You still have to remove the offending item but afterwards the dryer sheets help keep a pleasant odor. Even if you are a smoker it helps cut down the smoke smell, it does not eliminate it but slows it way down. FYI if you are trying to eliminate the smell of smoking after you quit use the Fabreze Auto and/or Heavy Duty. Spray it on your carpets and headliner and fabric seats. I would not recommend spraying it on leather seats you can clean and revitalize the leather with Lexol leather cleaner and conditioner.
