ERROR (1): Bad Character in gcode file

Created a simple text in Carbide Create for my first project on my newly purchased and assembled Shapeoko 3 XXL.

Saved it as a .c2d file… there wasn’t an option to save it otherwise.

Tried loading it into Carbide Motion and got the following error…

ERROR (1): Bad Character in gcode file

I’m using a Mac.

Any one know what the problem is?

c2d is a design file, not g-code. You need to open Carbide Create, and generate/save a g-code file (check the CC tutorial)
