Hello, yall. I’m just unboxing my new shapeoko pro and putting it together. The belts on the y-rails: I left 5 inch on the back side like the instructions say, i run it down the rail and over the stepper and attach it to the front plate only i have so much excess belt it won’t fit under the working part of the belt. Like i have enough to go back up the stepper. Have i done something wrong or do i just cut off the excess and leave about 5 inch on the front side as well?
Yes, you should cut off the excess belt as noted in the instructions.
Ok, cool… I didn’t see that anywhere in the instructions. I will look again.
