Exporting G Code

I could be off base here. But I am thinking its possible to have a project done in carbide create pro, and export the gcode to be used in another type machine. Is this correct?
I go to edit, post processor, select gcode and click and nothing. Where does it save the file at?

That’s a setting, not a file save.

Go to Toolpaths, then at the bottom ‘Save Toolpaths’.
