If i create a pocket toolpath for example, .06 max depth and .06 depth per pass, it does an extra pass removing nothing at .06. Any way to eliminate this extra pass?
Set your depth per pass higher. You can set it to 10", it will still only go 0.06 Max Depth
Sounds like your zero is off if the first pass is an air job. If you have top of material set in cc and the zero is set on top of the material the first pass (and last) should be at the .06 depth and just a single pass. Even if your zero is off I think it should just make a single pass at .06 and quit that tool path.
Post your c2d file for the community to look at it.
I just tried it. With both depth of cut & max depth set to 0.060, it makes 2 passes at 0.060
Change depth of cut to 0.061, and it only makes one pass.
I converted .06 to 1.524mm so maybe the underlying code does not like the mm setting and is making the extra pass for that reason. What is the granularity of a Shapeoko step
Sounds like a rounding error to me. I usually do what Tod1d suggested and set depth per pass large when I want a single pass.
