Faulty Nomad tool probe sensor [FIX SHOWN]

I’ve so far used my Nomad 883 Pro for less than a dozen times. Occasionally, measuring tool length fails as the probe sensor doesn’t seem to get detected. Usually I can give the machine a reboot and it works.

But today, I tried several times and each time it was going down without stopping.

First thing I did was to verify that the limit switch was indeed working using a multimeter’s continuity test. Everything appeared normal.

Then I took off the back panel, and saw this:

One of the crimps was not fully inserted into the connector housing, I shoved it back in and the machine started working again.

Anyways, I’m posting so somebody who wasn’t more electrically minded might see it when they search for why their tool length probe limit switch is not working.
