I don’t understand why CC has a “default tool” hard coded. The hard coded default is #102 1/8" end mill, which is often what I want, but it’s set to 10,000 rpm and corresponding slow feed and plunge, which is never what I want.
If/when CC gets a Preferences dialog, setting a default tool would be a good thing to add, but in the meantime I don’t see why one is needed at all. Just default to the last tool specified, or no tool at all if it’s a new project.
