Finishing after drag engrave

Hey gang, I’ve been playing around with the drag engraver bit on some .45mm aluminum business cards. It looks fantastic, but the touch is a bit rough to the finger tip, and business cards will certainly be “handled”. I can’t think of a good way to smooth things out, without affecting the surface color. Mine came black (painted, i’m certain). Was thinking of using some of that blue masking film other uses during carving but I’m not sure how well the drag bit will cut through. Anyone have some advice to lend before I just wing it on another prototyping adventure? thx

I would just wipe it off w/ a micro-fiber cloth — gently and in different places on the cloth at first in case any particles come loose which might scratch, then flip over and polish.
