Fire safety for a Nomad enclosure?

I need to build an enclosure for my Nomad 3 to cut down on noise before I can start using it with any regularity. I plan on putting a little webcam inside the enclosure so I can keep an eye on it, since I don’t want to add any ‘windows’ to the enclosure that will undoubtedly leak sound. I’m concerned about fire safety, though. Yes, I’ll be keeping an eye on the machine, but there’s just no way that I’m going to sit there and watch the screen like a hawk 100% of the time. Even if I wanted to do that, I have ADHD - ain’t gonna happen LOL. So I’m wondering if anyone has any ideas for rigging up some kind of detection system. I need some kind of detector that’s small, and won’t get triggered by dust. I’m pretty out of my depth, trying to figure this out, and googling doesn’t help much because information is (understandably) geared towards either home use, or use within an entire woodworking shop, rather than just a small enclosure.

Please keep in mind that a) I live in Canada, and while fire safety is obviously vital and I’ll put up with the hassle and expense of buying from the States if I have to, I have to imagine people in Canada also need fire detection, and b) I’m not particularly experienced/knowledgeable when it comes to the hands-on stuff. Buying the Nomad is my first foray into expanding upon my digital skills. I’m good at figuring things out and creative problem solving, but when it comes to the cutting and drilling and the DIY-ing…it’s not my forte.

Frankly, your ears are your best detection tool. After you get used to the normal sound of the machine, you really can hear very quickly when something is going south - or even when it’s about to go south! Stay within earshot of your machine - unless you have the world’s greatest enclosure, I’d bet you will be able to hear enough.

That’s a good point. I guess between the sound, the camera, and a fire extinguisher on-hand, that should mitigate any major problems.
