First etch onto aluminum

Did my first etch of aluminum today, sadly the bit zero was too tall so the Z axis was not correctly set. I’m pretty new to my S5P so I will always take more advice. Used a MC Etch 90 on .1 inch aluminum

Best thing w/ the M.C. Etcher is to disable the BitSetter.

When I use my MC Etcher I set Z using a thin piece of paper and adjust the Cut Depth in the Cutter Information window if needed. The more you adjust the Cut Depth, the greater you preload the spring in the MC Etcher. Default is usually just fine.

Yeah, I was thinking about how the diamond could damage it and the spring wouldn’t allow for the Z measurement correctly.
