Going rogue from the gcode

hello all!

never had an issue too big that i couldn’t figure out myself with my xxl pro… but today it went rogue and started on its own path.

i was cutting a simple pocket, 18mm deep, 2.5 mm per pass with a rough cut 6mm endmill (I’ve attached some pictures)

The problem is that it really plowed through some hardwood 18mm deep at 3600mm/minute and now my X is suuuuuper stiff… it couldn’t even get all the way back to home. ive already removed the belt to test where the resistance was coming from thinking that maybe it just a few missing teeth which would have been an easy fix.

Im honestly terrified that i bent the linear rails or destroyed the linear bearings.

in fact even the Y is feeling a little choppy…

does anyone have any experience or advice? how badly did i hurt my baby?

thanks in advance
chad

If this doesn’t show in the 3D preview, then it’s either a function of the toolpaths, or the mechanical functioning of the machine — please let us know at support@carbide3d.com and we’ll do our best to assist.
