I like to use a hand strap for my camera but from time to time I also want to use a tripod. To get everything stable I needed to remove the hand strap and replace it with the mounting plate for the tripod. This took time and space, not always available when out photografing. But now after some CAD work, a few prototypes on the 3D printer and finally some work on the Nomad in aluminuim I have both on the camera at the same time.
