I’m trying to make a set of dies and punches which need to be very strong and hard. I am planning on using A2 or A3 steel which is not bad for small machines in it’s annual state but I don’t have a grinder so I’ll need to take it to dimension after its heat treated. I’m looking at around RC58-60. I’ve picked out the proper endmill but the specs for it are really unrealistic for the nomad. Hoping someone can help me guesstimate chip load, feeds and the like.
@wmoy to the rescue, as a starting point at least ?
