I’ve had my Shapeoko 2 for quite a while now but I’ve never really used it. Recently I decided I wanted to learn how to use it so I got it set up and did a few upgrades on it that I bought several years back (Nema23 motors, x-carve upgrades, acme screw z-axis). Unfortunately I’m not able to connect with the Carbide Motion software. Grbl sees the Uno on com4, device manager sees the Uno as well. Carbide Motion says not connected and cutter not found when the connect button is pressed. Does anyone have any ideas about what I can do to fix this problem?
If it’s a Shapeoko 2 it won’t connect to Carbide Motion which only connect to machines sold by Carbide 3D.

That would definitely explain it. Thanks for the info. I downloaded UGS and it’s able to see it and jog everything. Just some fine tuning now.
