I use the HDZ and had previously reversed my Z axis ($2=0, from $2=4). I just replaced my computer & reinstalled Carbide Motion. During homing, Z is reversed & it’s moving away from the limit switch. I checked settings & $2=0 (it retained all of my settings as expected). I tried reversing that ($2=4) and it’s still moving in the wrong direction. Am I missing something? I’m about to step out but when I get back I’ll dig into it & maybe reinstall CM, but I’m also hoping you guys can suggest some things to try/look for…
That was it. But lots of settings changed. I had soft limits enabled & they were disabled again, Z steps/mm were different & acceleration settings were changed. If all of this is stored at the machine, why would it change? I feel like for some reason the new CM installation sent new settings.
