Okay I am new to CNC desktop router as I spent most of my life running CNC Wire EDM or Bridgeport. I ran the Hello program with pen and it worked but my concern is the machine is shaking especially when doing the small print. I did reduce the feed rate by 50% and I realize the small print makes the machine move side to side quickly, is there something I forgot to do or should do, or is this just normal with a pen instead of a router bit? Do I just need to cut the feed even more to smooth it out?
There is a bit of shaking on quick back-and-forth movements, whether with a pen or a tool.
If you have the machine on a suitably sturdy and secure table it shouldn’t be an issue — I like to put the machines on a sheet of foam which dampens noise/resonance and takes up an imperfections in the table.
